Arrival

Well the day has come and gone.  I have made it to NYC.  Was driven in by a native of Queens named Steve who, I must say, slayed the streets.  What could've been a 2 hour nightmare in traffic was a breezy 45 min scenic tour around Brooklyn on the Belt Parkway, into Manhattan via the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel.  I was able to catch a glimpse of Lady Liberty and inadvirdantly driven right past the WTC site (something I was hoping to prepare myself a bit better for but oh well...a rough reminder of the new century, to say the very least).  Couldn't have a had a better ride in.  Arrived @ my sublet in the west village, lugged my crap upstairs to the second floor and summarily took a nap (red-eye +free whiskey gingers + a year or so worth of anticipation + ipod = not much sleep on de plane) .  Woke up, showered, hit the street.  Walked around the neighborhood for a few hours, found a purveyor of fine records on Carmine st, bought a stones 45 (waiting on a friend/T and A) and some milk, eggs etc..  You know, the necessities.

Now I'm back home and packing in an early night, probably the only one in the near future.  Tomorrow it's off to Strawberry fields to lay some flowers down for Mr. Lennon and then, who knows.  (Always open to suggestions by the way.)

P.S.- I do have a couple other photos from today but have misplaced the chord that connects my little camera to the computer, more are on the way though.

Miss everyone, thanks for sending me off proper!
